School days are almost over and I’m so ready for the summer so I can enjoy my boys and make more things. I’m trying to keep up with the #100DayProject of 2016. Today I made a project from RedHeart free pattern list – an eyeglass case. I used some of my favorite colors instead. With the passing this week of one of my favorite artist, I used a few of his albums as a prop. RIP Prince.
Over the past 4 years, I’ve definitely grown in my craft. I started out knitting, finally caught on to crocheting after a dreaded struggle and somewhere in the midst of all that, I sewed. My first sewing lessons were as a junior high kid, 8th grade to be exact and I was just 13 years old. I loved all my homec classes throughout grade school but never latched on to anything particular until BoyKrazie. I had to relearn certain skills and with the help of my mother-in-law, I eased back into it, mainly working from other artisan patterns. I’m ecstatic to say that this is my first time creating on my own with no help. Just me and hours of working till I thought it was close to what I wanted. I still wasn’t sure and expressed that to my photographer.
Well, I think it’s a winner. Sweetlilpics by Ashley just made my heart melt. This set is special. Visor and my knit-fabric suspender pants now available in the shop.
Love seeing my work in action! And special thanks to one of my favorite newborn photographers who shares with me her work with my little creations. Aren’t they handsome!?! Sweetlilpics by Ashley is just amazing!
I rarely take selfies. I know, we live in a selfie world but just like most part-time photographers , I just capture other people and things. I’m having fun tonight making precious items for little handsome boys so I snapped this quick photo and edited in one of my favorite iPhone apps. I’m a user of Photoshop but to do super quick edits on my phone is…sweeeeeet!
I used Photoshop Express, and Yep it’s free.
